Chez RIDEhouse nous sommes dedié que la qualité du produit va jusqu’à la presentation final en magasin de nos produits.Un bel emballage emmène une belle persception de qualité pour le produit en tant que tel. Nous avons joué avec plusieurs type d’emballage dans les derniers temps. Pour la collection Rhmtl, nous dédions un emballage pour les hoodies pour ceux qui commandent à travers le magasins en ligne.. Nous recyclons du carton fait à partir d’emballage existant, voici une version presque final.
À ce moment la production est terminé et avons livré au magasins. Nous travaillons à terminer le magasins en ligne.

We at RIDEhouse are fans of great packaging. We believe packaging can greatly increase the perception of the product within. And we’ve been toying around with the idea of packaging our items for a while. For Rhmtl we finally decided to take the plunge and package our hoodies for those who order them in the online shop. We decided to use discarded cardboard to package the items. The version in the image is close to final.
At this point our production for Rhmtl is finished. We’ve already delivered the orders to shops and we’re working on the Online shop.

A weekly visit to the factory presents us with a partially ready production. A bunch of Huberts and Sparrows are ready to be enjoyed by their eventual owners. Pics and catalog shots coming soon.
Voici quelques photos de notre dernière visite à notre petite manufacture. Le hood vert que vous voyez ici, est une couleur que nous venons de rajouter à la toute dernière minute. surprise surprise. La dernière étape de production est entamée et nous esperons pouvoir vous les offrir dans le online shop très bientôt.
La grandeur à été revisée soigneusement pour les articles en production and nous sommes très satisfaits des résultats.

Pictures from our recent visit to our little factory. The green color way was added fairly late to the Rhtml line up, and you can see here the items being put together. Final production process is underway and we are hoping to get the items into the online shop fairly soon.
The sizing was thouroughly revised for the items shown above, we’re pretty happy with the results.

Chez RIDEhouse, nous croyons faire les choses d’une manière differente, et notre future collection Rhmtl reflète bien cette mentalité. Il semble avoir cette loi non-écrite, que le apparel produit localement n’a pas d’imprimés sérigraphiques. La plupart des compagnies se fient sur leurs coupes et des petits details pour passer le message. Le procédé de sérigraphie rajoute une étape considérable dans le processus de production et c’est comprenable que certains l’évitent. Nous croyons que ça en vaut la peine.
Nous ne faisons pas la sérigraphie nous-mêmes. Nous utilisons un service professionnel local pour travailler avec nous sur nos items. Les images ci-dessus, ont été prises lors de notre visite cette semaine.

We’d like to think that we do things a little bit differently at RIDEhouse, and our Rhmtl line is the perfect example. There seems to be an unwritten rule that local produced apparel does not have any screen printing. Most companies rely on clean cuts and smaller detailing to get their message across. The screen printing process adds a significant step into the production process and it’s understandable why some avoid it. We believe that it’s worth it.
We don’t do the actual screen printing ourselves. We use a local service that’s been working with us on our items. The images above were taken during our visit to the printer this week.

Les outils du métier. Nous sommes en découpage des nouveaux tissus pour la collection Rhmtl. Voici l’outil que nous utilisons pour tracer sur nos tissus, possiblement commun pour certains couturiers. Au lieu d’utiliser de la craie ou encore des crayons specialisés de magasins, nous utilisons un mince morceau de savon… Deux bénéfices. 1: récupération et 2: S’il reste des marques après la production, elles disparaisseraient au premier lavage…

Tools of the trade. We are currently cutting the fabric for the Rhmtl line and here is a tool that we use that could be common to some tailors. Instead of using chalk or any kind of store bought pen, we use a thin bar of soap… Two main benefits here. 1: recuperation and 2: if there are any marks left by the soap, they will disappear in the first wash…
Nous venons de recevoir nos nouvelles étiquettes. Une touche rétro en cuir P/U, venant de notre premier morceau en 2006. Nous aimons beaucoup ce type de detail, alors nous le ramenons dans de futur item. À voir bientot.

We just got our labels in. We had a leather/PU label on our very first item that we did back in 2006. We’re coming back to that idea as it was always a detail that we liked. More on that soon.
Nous sommes en plein processus d’échantillonnage de notre mini ligne d’automne. Nous avons fait une petite visite à notre manufacture pour voir le progrès de nos nouveaux échantillons. Nous developpons de nouveaux patrons et des nouvelles coupes. Pas encore final au 2e echantillonnage, au 3e !!…

We are currently in sampling mode for our mini Fall line. We took the time to visit the place where the samples are put together. The sampling process is long and complicated. We are developing all new patterns and fits for the line. We’re still not quite there with our 2nd iteration. On to the 3rd…
